Christos Bouras

Christos I. Bouras is a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics with expertise in Algorithms and Applications in Networks and Telematics and New Services. Since 1999, he has also been the Scientific Director of Research Unit 6 at ITY-E (Diophantus).

At the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, he teaches Telematics, Broadband Technologies and Public Networks, and Network Interconnection at the undergraduate level, and Quality of Service Mechanisms in Networks at the postgraduate level. His research interests include 5G and Next Generation Networks, Performance Analysis of Networked and Computing Systems, Computer Networks and Protocols, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Telematics and New Services, E-Learning, Networked Virtual Environments, Charging and Quality of Service Issues in Networks and Services, and World Wide Web topics.

He has over 450 publications in international books, journals, and conferences. He is a member of editorial boards of international journals, organizing and program committees, and a reviewer for international journals and conferences in his research area.

He has participated in numerous Greek and international research and development projects and is the author of 9 books in Greek and editor of 2 books in English.

He has extensive professional experience in Network and Telematics Service Design and Analysis, Network Protocols, High-Speed Networks, and Distance Learning.
