Tribute to director Theodoros Angelopoulos is organized by the Ioannis & Euterpi Topalis Foundation, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the great director’s passing. The tribute will take place at the Archaeological Museum of Patras from June 5 to June 19, 2022.

On Sunday, June 5 at 8 p.m., authors Rea Galanaki and Vasilis Ladas will discuss Theodoros Angelopoulos in an event moderated by journalist Alexandra Panagopoulou. On the same day, at 9 p.m., the opening of the photography exhibition by Ilias Bourgiotis titled “The Gaze of Eternity” will take place, featuring backstage photos from Angelopoulos’s last three films (including the unfinished “The Other Sea”).

The exhibition will run until Sunday, June 19, and will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Throughout the exhibition, the documentary by Isidoros Leontis titled “Theodoros Angelopoulos: A Life in Cinema” (2006, 60 minutes) will be screened. Additionally, on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 12 noon, Ilias Bourgiotis will sign copies of the album “The Gaze of Eternity” (Topos Publishing) at the bookstore “To Donti” (Karaiskaki 147, Patras).
